Elizabeth Gillies (born Elizabeth Gillis) is an American actor, performer and songwriter. Her most well-known performances include Lucy in the musical 13 and Jade West on Nickelodeon's sictom Victorious. She began her career in commercials. She made her first TV appearance on The Black Donnellys (2007). Between the years of 2010 between 2010 and 2013, she portrayed Jade West on the Nickelodeon Television Series Victorious. The show's main character was on FX's Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll series (2015-16). Elizabeth Egan Gillies was born on July 26 1993 in Haworth New Jersey and her family resides in the area. There is also an older brother who was born in the year 1996. She is a little Italian. Elizabeth Gillies went to Haworth Public School in her hometown. Her first acting role was in I Am Sam (2001) which was a dramatic film in which she played the younger version Dakota Fanning. She appeared in a variety of movies as a young actress, including Babel (2006) the Strange Button (2008), The Curious Button (2008) and Phoebe in Wonderland (2008). The actress was nominated for Best Young Performer in the Critics Choice Movie Awards in 2010, for her role as Sofia Coppola's Somewhere. The film was also awarded a Spotlight Award by the Hollywood film festival in 2011 for playing the leading role of the film Super 8. She was the lead character in the comedy We Bought a Zoo (2012) and Ginger & Rosa (2013). Then, in 2014 and 2019, she played the princess Aurora role in Maleficent.
